Bariatric Post ops who whine about how bad protein and vitamins taste generally don’t do much of what they are supposed to be do. If you believe that you signed up for the *Spa Version* of Bariatric Surgery, that was the Lap Band but then about five years ago, we found out that it was also very hard and not very good. (even though it was so easily reversible… sarcasm ‘off’)

Maybe you do not realize that the rest of us are doing this without the whining. Once in a while in life, you need to just do certain things no matter what it tastes like or how hard it is. Please note that IF you would like to keep your hair, lose ALL your weight and not only 45 pounds, and avoid having to hang on an IV pole for iron infusions when you can barely stand, it takes work. You can not undo your surgery, so PLEASE MOVE FORWARD without the drama.

Bariatric Surgery entails removal and/or rerouting of major organs and people have died from deficiencies.

Put on your Big Girl Panties and do what your bariatric team has told you to do – not the Facebook people who do it their way. The “I am doing something right as I’ve lost 65 pounds in two months” people don’t know what the hell they are talking about and you will be the one who suffers. The doctor told you what to do. For your own sake, please pay attention to the BIG stuff they told you to do and even more important, what to NOT do and you will be fine.

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! You can do this and if you need help, we are here for you.
